Interoperable and secure reputation systems

Reputation systems are a typical means established in various Internet applications to collect the experiences users have with each other. Before interacting with others, users may investigate the interaction partner’s reputation profile. The most popular example is probably the marketplace eBay, where sellers and buyers can rate each other. There are various difficulties arising with the design and usage of reputation systems as will be outlined and discussed in the talk.
